How can leaders make workplace interaction more productive?

Hayley Blunden is an Assistant Professor of Management at American University's Kogod School of Business in Washington, D.C. Through her research and teaching, she seeks to improve people's abilities to navigate the vital yet challenging interactions people face in their daily work. Her research examines both developmental interactions like advice, feedback, and voice, and collaborative ones like communicating virtually.

Her work has been published in Management Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decisions Processes among other outlets. In 2025, she received the Dean's Award, and was recognized as a "Best 40-Under-40 MBA Professor" by Poets&Quants.
